The Navy has a requirement for the detection of intruders in shallow water areas near ports or other military owned locations. There is a need to detect swimmers, scuba divers, and swimmer delivery vehicles. Sonar systems do not work well in shallow water areas and are prohibitively expensive. This procurement is for a moderately priced sensor system that would work well in shallow water and would be reliable for the detection of underwater intruders.
