various A/E firms to negotiate open-ended contracts for a three-year
period for pending projects at VA Medical Center for the period of
October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1998. Various disciplines will be
considered: General A/E with in-house or separate affiliated support of
mechanical, electrical and/or fire protection disciplines. Pending
projects waiting funding are: Modifications for TB Phase II, Urgent
Care, and Canteen Service Electrical Study. All drawings will be in
Auto-CAD R-12 with ASG Softdesk V-5.0 and/or Auto-CAD R-13 (windows)
with ASG Softdesk V-7.2 (windows). Specifications will be completed in
Word Perfect (windows) and/or Microsoft Word (windows). No
substitutions will be accepted. Submit for interest in open-ended
contracts with your firm's 252/254, cover letter, and list of
references by close of business October 13, 1995. Depending on dollar
value of the contract, emerging small business A/E firms will be given
first priority for projects with A/E costs under $50,000 (established
by Office of Federal Procurement Policy under Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program). The following evaluation
factors are among those that will be used in selecting A/E firms for
open-ended contracts: Having professional services (disciplines)
necessaary for satisfactory performance of required services,
specialized experience, qualifications of proposed team(s), location in
general geographic area, past performance of similar projects being
considered. The government makes no guarantee of any project or award.
