The National Institutes of Health intends to procure on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(A) the following service: the contractor shall create a databse of information on optical disks which shall be accessible with the current Minolta MIMS300 imaging system providing simple rapid retrieval. The documents shall be prepared for imaging and imaged, and key indexing information (i.e., the file name, document number, date of the letter, name(s) of the addressee, affiliation and name of the writer) and shall be entered into the ES Archives database file for retrieval with an approximate volume of 250,000. The documents shall be imaged off-site and shall be accessible within one hour. The contractor shall be located locally. It is the Government's belief that the above requirement can only be met by Octo, Inc. If any interested party believes they can provide the above service, they may submit a request to receive a copy of the RFQ. Written quotations will be due NLT 21 September 1995 with an anticipated award date of 26 September 1995. Required delivery will be within 3 months after issuance of a fixed price purchase order.
