16 -- F/A-18 FMS KUWAIT AIR FORCE PECULIAR POST PRODUCTION SUPPORT SOL N00019-94-G-0086 POC Contact, Matthew S. Mobley, Phone (703)604-6100 Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue an order on behalf of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-94-G-0086 for F/A-18C/D Peculiar Post Production Support services. The anticipated effort will include integrated logistics support planning and management, maintenance transition, engineering for support equipment, engineering investigations, technical advisory services, supplier management, and support for intermediate avionics test set. NAVAIR intends to negotiate this procurement with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace (MDA), P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516, the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft. MDA is the only known firm possessing the technical knowledge, expertise, and detailed familiarity with the design and modifications of the F/A-18 that is required to provide the requiring activity with timely development and integration of the required services and supplies.
