Paddock, Contracting Officer, 813/840-5448 The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to extend CONUS and overseas deployable Contractor Logistics Support (FY96 and FY97) by adding two, twelve-month option periods to an existing sole source contract MDA911-94-C-0057 with Texas Instruments, Inc., Defense Systems and Electronics Group, Dallas, Texas. The equipment requiring this CLS is the Focal Plane Array Configuration Upgrade for the AN/AAQ-17 Infrared Detecting Set for the AC-130H Gunships. Negotiations will commence fifteen calendar days from the publication of this synopsis. Any additional information received from parties who feel they have comparable capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to not open the requirement for competition is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be in writing.
