The Government has a requirement for a gas pipeline survey consisting of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to conduct a gas leak detection survey of the gas distribution system at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. Natural gas leak survey shall include leakage survey of all gas mains, service lines, regulators, meters, manholes, valves, valve boxes, valve pits, and all openings belonging to other utilities such as telephone, electric, water, etc., where leaking gas could create a hazardous situation. There are approximately 255,000 feet of mains and 2720 gas services. The contractor shall have actively and steadily engaged in this type of work for a period of not less than 10 years with the gas industry. All supervisory field personnel must have a minimum of 5 years experience. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses. SIC Code 7389; size standard $5 million.
