WILSON, (317)306-4526 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Indianapolis, has a requirement to place an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) time and materials contract for contractor performance of aircraft electrical wiring system testing and evaluation by testing small lengths and amounts of wiring removed from an aircraft, perform accelerated aging and other tests on the wire samples, analyze the test results, and make conclusions and recommendations concerning the condition of the aircraft wiring. The testing and analysis described above will principally be evaluation of aromatic polyimide electrical wiring. The contract period will be for a base year plus two one year options. Delivery orders describing specific testing efforts will be placed as required under the basic contract. Deliverables will be technical reports including recommendations for aircraft electrical wiring insulation sampling and testing; analysis, conclusions, and recommendations of comprehensive wiring survey; wiring insulation age determination evaluation; suggested maintenance and replacement; results and recommendations of tests and analysis of wiring insulation; and analytical information and recommendations for tests and analysis on insulation and associated materials. A statement of work and evaluation criteria will be included in the solicitation to permit contractors to respond with cost and technical proposals to permit the government to make selection for contract award.
