This is a market survey to locate additional sources for a dehydrator
assembly. The dehydrator is described by specification control drawing
SM-A-948078-1 and Dielectric Communications Corp. of Raymond, Maine
part number D46201. A potential quantity of 23 each is required. The
dehydrators are used on Antenna, AS-3199/TSC, with various tactical
satellite communications systems. Detailed manufacturing information to
build or develop the assemblies is not available from the Army. Form,
fit, and function interchangeability is required for the dehydrator
assembly and all it's replaceable components. Suppliers capable of
furnishing this item must so indicate by writing to Commander, CECOM,
ATTN: AMSEL-LC-ED-RS, (BESANTE), Fort Monmouth, NJ. The written
response must include documentation such as test results, copies of
purchase orders if the supplier was a vendor to the current source or
statement from the current source demonstrating that the supplier can
supply a form, fit, and function replacement. Vendors must warrant the
items will satisfactorily perform when used for their intended
purpose. The deadline for response to this notice is 15 September 1995.
