J - OVERHAUL AND REPAIR OF SHIP SERVICE DIESEL ENGINES - The specification covers the overhaul of No. 1 ship service diesel (SSD) engine and repairs to extend the service life of SSD No. 2 and 3. The contractor shall conduct an averhaul of the Fairbanks Morse (OEM) no.1 ship's service diesel engine. Overhaul will include removal of covers and accesses for preliminary inspection and component tear down, work detailed by the specification, reassembly of engines, testing of engines following overhaul, and preparation of reports. Contractor personnel performing this work are required to have been trained to work on Fairbanks Morse engines by either Fairbanks Morse or another training facility acceptable to NOAA. The contractor shall provide all labor and tools to accomplish the repairs required by the specification. Price quote shall be F.O.B. Destination to Seattle, WA. Responsible sources may request a REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) within 15 days of the date of this publication. Work shall commence on 09/24/95 and be completed on 10/10/95.
