59 -- SUPPLY SOURCES AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR LIGHTWEIGHT COMPUTER UNIT (LCU) POC Mr. Ramon Garcia, Electronics Engineer, 908-532-8518. This is a market survey, not a solicitation, for the following: 1) locate additional supply sources for the internal components of several Lightweight Computer Unit (LCU) items and 2) repair service of any supplied items over $600.00. The items under the LCU program in question are the ruggedized digital computers and external Tactical Computer Interface Modules (TCIMs), which are commercial off-the-shelf items provided by SAIC, 10240 Sorrento Valley Road, Suite 203, San Diego, California 92121. A list of the specific items to be supplied and repaired can be provided to interested parties by contacting Ramon Garcia, 908-532-8518. The Government does not possess detailed information on the SAIC-provided internal components. The offeror must supply either the same components presently inside the digital computers and external TCIMs, or acceptable replacements. Supplying of replacements may require the offeror to provide detailed technical information on the items and to demonstrate satisfactory performance. Responses in terms of the repair service must include documentation that demonstrates that the offeror can, in fact, provide repair capability and has the required data, software, equipment and facilities for the repair service. The new repair source may be required to verify that the items will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
