Requiring activity currently using the Micromedex system with plans for converting to a single local area network system. Primary database includes POISINDEX, which furnishes oral capsule/tablet identification information, and up-to- date drug consultation information capability that may be instantaneously cross-referenced to other portions of the drug information database. It is the intent of the government to negotiate with Micromedex as a sole source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
