EG&G Florida, Inc. intends to Subcontract for the following services from Modcomp, Inc., on a sole source basis: Full Service Hardware maintenance of Government-owned Modcomp OPERATIONAL PRODUCTION SYSTEM equipment for the KSC Electronic Security System for the period 11/1/95-10/31/96: CL32/85 CPU 32 Bit w/8mb (1 ea.), CL32/87 CPU 32-bit w/4 mb (1 ea.), 0103 12v Power Supply (4 ea.), 3327-1 Battery Backup Unit (2 ea.), 4182A-11 Disk-MH 132 MB Fix w/o ctlr (11 ea.), 4195-11 MTU 75 IPS w/ctlr (1ea.), 4198-11 MTU Cache PE-GCR Basic System (2 ea.), 4806-1 ASYNC Terminal Ctlr (2 ea.), 4911-11 PCE (4 ea.), DCS-1A Basic DCS Chassis (1 ea.), DCS-1E DCS chassis expansion (1 ea.), DCS-DR32 (20 ea.), DCS-ULR-4 (15 ea.), 4186-21 Disk Ctlr (3 ea.), 4188-11 DISK-MH 442 MB Fix w/o CTLR (1 ea.), 4180-1B DISK Ctlr (3 ea.), plus some additional interface equipment. The Subcontractor shall provide full service maintenance at the Kennedy Space Center for the Government-owned Modcomp 32/85, 32/87 and component equipment listed above. The subcontractor shall provide all on-site maintenance service including parts and labor in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Additionally, the subcontractor shall provide per call maintenance for the following items classified as DEVELOPMENT/TEST/SPARE SYSTEMS: CL32/87 CPU 32-BIT w/4MB (1 ea.), 0103 12V power supply (3 ea.), 3327-1 Battery Back-up (1 ea.), 4805-2 Parallel interface Controller (2 ea.), 4806-1 Async. terminal Ctlr. (4 ea.), 4911-11 PCE (2 ea.), 4912 Switched PCE (1 ea.), 4913 Switched PCE Controller (1 ea.), SPL Chronolog Clock (1 ea.), 4186-21 Disk Ctlr. (1 ea.), 4180-1B Disk Ctlr. (1 ea.). Service shall include but not be limited to: 1) On call remedial maintenance for OPERATIONAL PRODUCTION SYSTEM Equipment from 08:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, five (5) days/week, four (4) hour response guaranteed. 2) Eight (8) hour response time on weekends, & after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Subcontractor will invoice for labor during the hours of Midnight and 7:59 a.m., 3) Five working day response for systems and components used for DEVELOPMENT/TEST/SPARES. 4) One (1) preventive maintenance call per moth for each operational production system. 5) Complete spare parts inventory must be available at the subcontractor's location for operational production system equipment. All major parts and components shall be deliverable to EG&G within a 24 hour time period. 6) On-site maintenance log. 7) Automatic problem escalation. If a recurring problem exists, the subcontractor shall take all corrective steps available to resolve it including consultation with superiors, consultation with OEM (The costs and reimbursements for OEM assistance will be the responsibility of the Subcontractor.) 8) Service bulletins, updates, scheduling, test procedures, test results, progress reports and cost reports as deemed necessary to fulfill requirements of the subcontract. All parts furnished in connection with the maintenance of the equipment shall be new standard parts, or parts of equal quality. A NASA security clearance is required for each subcontractor personnel assigned. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any other source(s) exist, therefore, no RFP is available. Interested firms are invited to submit a response within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice which must include prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability to meet the requirement. Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether competition exists and whether a formal RFP is appropriate. If no affirmative written documentation/technical specifications, prices, etc. are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this synopsis, an order will be placed with Modcomp.
