U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate on a
competitive basis for training in specialized areas such as
instrumentation, skin dosimetry, internal dosimetry, new modalities in
teletherapy and brachytherapy, radioactive waste, and radiation
protection fundamentals for its Headquarters and Regional office
personnel. In addition, training may be required in the areas of air
sampling and decontamination and decommissioning. The contractor shall
be required to provide the necessary personnel, facilities, materials
and services necessary to provide the required training on a task
ordering basis. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all
concerns, i.e., large businesses, small businesses, and small
businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically
disadvantaged individuals. Notice to large businesses: The
subcontracting plan requirements of P.L. 95-507 are applicable to this
effort. Thus, all large businesses determined to be in the competitive
range must be prepared to submit a detailed subcontracting plan. A
source list comprising the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of
all concerns requesting a copy of the solicitation, with large
businesses identified by an asterisk, will be provided with the
solicitation. In order to identify large businesses on the list, a
request for the solicitation should indicate the size of the business
based upon a SIC code of 8999. The size standard for this solicitation
is $3.5. In order to allow small concerns sufficient time to contact
you for possible subcontracting opportunities, you are encouraged to
make your request for the solicitation prior to the solicitation
issuance date. A copy of the solicitation and all subsequent amendments
will be provided to each requester. Interested firms should submit
written requests to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the
address as shown above. Telephone requests will not be honored. Closing
