59 -- THERMAL FLIGHT STRIP PRINTERS SOL DTFA-02-96-R-60001 POC Brent Foreman, (405) 954-7894 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for (a) an estimated annual quantity of 1,150 each, COTS Thermal Printers meeting requirements of FAA Specification FAA-E-2771A, Flight Data Input/Output System (FDIO); (b) 12 mos supply (700,000,000 thermal flight strips per year) fan-folded thermal paper; (c) Contractor Depot and Logistics Support; and (d) one time cost for documentation to include technical data (Commercial drawings, illustrated parts breakdown, and technical manuals). Requirements will require technical proposals with award based on greatest value to the Government. Printers are for use in the FDIO system within the National Airspace System (NAS).
