Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) is
seeking an organization with the capabilities to perform the services
required to disseminate and advance the results of the Diabetes Control
and Complications Trial (DCCT), a 10-year clinical trial that provided
a strong scientific basis for treatment regimens which prevent serious
complications of diabetes, particularily retinopathy. The purpose of
the program shall be: (1) to utilize state-of-the-art social marketing
and dissemination techniques in transmitting health messages based
primarily on the DCCT's primary message that improving blood sugar
control can reduce the risks of eye, kidney, and nerve disease; and (2)
to publicize and promote other diabetes treatment, intervention and
prevention programs to the public. This acquisition is 100% set-aside
for small business concerns. Size Standard 5.0 million dollars,
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 8741. This Request for
Proposal (RFP) NIH-NIDDK-95-16 will be released on or about September
20, 1995 with a closing date of November 20, 1995. To receive a copy of
