COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 7,1995 PSA#1426TECHNOLOGY MATURATION AND INDUSTRIAL PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES in an
effort to help improve economic conditions in regions of the United
States adversely affected by Department of Defense or Department of
Energy facility closures or realignments, AMMPEC anticipates funding a
limited number of technology maturation projects in the arena of
advanced materials and manufacturing. The determination that a given
area is adversely impacted is available from the Department of
Commerce's Economic Development Administration, Austin Regional Office
at (512)482-5217. In accordance with technology transfer legislation
and to more efficiently leverage industry resources, AMMPEC will
consider projects in which industry is teamed with the national
laboratories and universities to develop commercial applications of
existing defense-related technologies. The anticipated result of the
teaming of national laboratory or university talent with commercial
companies is to develop technology that benefits both commercial and
defense applications. It is anticipated that the industrial partner(s)
will be a qualified manufacturer that would be able to provide
economic growth in severely economically impacted areas resulting from
facility closures or realignments. AMMPEC is committed to developing
industrial partnerships through technology maturation efforts. This is
not a request for proposals, but rather a request for expressions of
interest in teaming with the national laboratories and universities.
Qualified industrial partners interested in this technology maturation
opportunity should contact AMMPEC in writing. AMMPEC will hold an
industrial advisory meeting to review potential technology maturation
areas on September 18th and 19th 1995. AMMPEC 1001 University Blvd. SE,
Suite 100, Albuquerque, NM 87106 or contact Mr. Jeff Bullington at
