Since we have completed draft specifications concerning the product to be procured, we would now like to request comments regarding such draft specifications. This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. (1) Name: Optical fiber cable and Fiber jointing for User Distribution Network (2) Overview: These products will be used in the both portions where are the optical fiber cable dropping portion and the inside wiring portion for customer premises. These portions require quick response for user's demand and low cost. In the optical fiber cable dropping portion for single-lot houses, the both methods dropping from underground cable and aerial cable should be considered, but in case of multi-lot buildings not be considered. The inside wiring for customer premises includes that for both single-lot houses and multi-lot buildings. (3) Estimated procurement quantity: Prototype: 1set (Around May, 1996) Commercial model: Undecided (After December, 1996) (This quantity is the current estimate; however, it may change during public notification of procurement.) After preparing a list of supplied information, NTT will provide the list to applicants interested in obtaining such a list; to those who have responded to the request for comments; and to those who have purchased the PROCUREMENT DOCUMENTATION relating to procurement of the product. However, NTT will not assume any responsibility for possible outcomes arising from supply of the list.
