UPDATE: This action was originally published in the Commerce Business Daily on 21 June 1995, and amended on 17 July 1995. This latter announcement indicated that ''All parties interested in having this program set aside for small businesses only, including those companies which have already identified an interest in this program, must provide the Marine Corps with a Capability Statement.'' The purpose of this requirement was to allow the Government to make a determination as to whether or not sufficient small-business interest existed to set aside the LNBCRS program for small businesses only. The capability statements which were received have now been reviewed, and the determination made that this program WILL NOT be set aside. The Government intends to pursue the award of a contract for the LNBCRS program through full and open competition procedures, under which all responsible sources are encouraged to participate. The current estimated release date for the solicitation is 06 October 1995. As indicated in the previous announcements for this program, all requests for the solicitation must be in writing. Companies which already responded in writing to either of the earlier announcements need not respond to this one. (0249)
