McChord AFB intends to negotiate a sole source requirement for one each Oxygen Bomb Calorimeter System consisting of a stainless steel bomb with its attached water bucket, outer water jacket and bomb loading mechanism for 115v 60Hz; a calorimeter control module, printer, water handling system, bomb wash tank, water cooler, nitrogen pressure regulator, and a spare parts kit. The system is fully automated and can be linked to a laboratory computer networking system. This instrument is used for measuring the heat of combustion of ground, aviation turbine, and cruise missile fuels. It is to meet or exceed repeatability and reproducibility limits of required ASTM D240. This is intended to be a sole source purchase from Parr Instrument Co., p/n 1271ea. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used. All responsible sources submitting quotations shall be considered by the agency.
