U.S. Courts (AOUSC) has a requirement for a commercially available,
off-the-shelf, Integrated Library System (ILS). The ILS will
potentially consist of thirteen individual systems to provide
integrated, multi-functional library capabilities for each of the
Federal Circuit Court Libraries. While the Libraries require
multi-function systems, acquisitions, serials control, and the on-line
patron access catalog (OPAC) will be of initial importance. Library
staff and users will access the ILS through the judiciary's Data
Communications Network. The AOUSC requires the hardware, software, user
documentation, training, maintenance, and user support for the ILS. The
proposed contract will be awarded for a base year with four one-year
options. This notice was previously published on November 3, 1994.
Interested parties who responded to the previous notice need not
resubmit a request unless their mailing address has changed. Written
requests for this solicitation should be received within 15 days from
the date of this synopsis. The due date for receipt of proposals will
be established based upon the actual issue date of the solicitation
which may be as early as September 30, 1995. All responsible sources
