505/766-2996. D - The Bureau of Indian Affairs has a requirement to
provide mainframe computer hardware and software disaster recovery
services for the Office of Information Resources Management, Operations
Service Center, 500 Gold Avenue SW, Attention: Jerry Belew,
Albuquerque, NM 87103. Contractor shall support interconnected UNISYS
A Series and IBM 309X mainframes hosting a nationwide network. The
disaster recovery capability cannot be divided or subcontracted between
different vendors and the selected contractor shall have available all
necessary resources devoted exclusively to the provision of disaster
recovery services. Offerors must be able to conduct a complete initial
test demonstration disaster recovery capability immediately following
contract award. Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e) requires
that prime contractors give preference in employment and training to
Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of
subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises.
Solicitation package will be issued on or about September 20, 1995. Bid
Opening Date is scheduled for October 24, 1995 at 3:00 PM at the
