This is not a solicitation, but rather an action to exercise an option for an existing requirement in accordance with FAR Clause 52.217-8 for a period of three months from October 1, 1995 until December 31, 1995. The Government may extend this requirement for up to an additional three months should the need arise. The requirement is for continued field service representative services for support of its UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter fleet with United Technologies, Sikorsky Support Services, Incorporated on a sole source basis. Sikorsky Aircraft Company designed and manufactured the Black Hawk and owns the patent rights and copyrights covering a large portion of the manufacturing processes and methods including those for repair parts and technical manuals. The level of maintenance support required is of a problem-solving, higher technical nature. See numbered Note 22. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. (248)
