Work includes, but is not limited to the following: (1) demolition of the exterior/interior of 54 MFH units in the Capehart area of Andersen AFB Guam; (2) installation of new doors, windows, walls, flooring, cabinets, hardware, A/C equipment (including pad and enclosures), plumbing fixtures, painting (interior and exterior), piping, valves, ductwork, lighting fixtures, panelboards, switches, wiring, conduit, and smoke detectors; (3) removal of debris, trenching, backfilling, and landscaping disturbed areas; and (4) removal of asbestos containing material. Project magnitude is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance period will consist of a 90-day mobilization period, followed by a 270-day construction period. The solicitation will issue on or about 25 September 95, with bid opening projected to occur on 7 November 95. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis; thus, all responsible firms are encouraged to submit bids. There is a nonrefundable solicitation fee of $62.00 per set; corporate checks must be made payable to the U.S. Treasury - cash or personal checks will not be accepted.
