The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) intends to procure the following S&C Electric Company (or equivalent) Circuit Switcher: 1 - S&C Circuit Switcher, Mark V, three-pole vertical style with disconnect, three-pole group operated grounding switch, and key interlock, with the following ratings: nominal 115kV; max, design, 121kV; BIL 550 kV; continuous current 1200 amperes; short time rating, momentary, 61,000 amperes; short time rating, 3-second, 40,000 amperes; fault-closing, (without pre-insertation), 30,000 amperes sym.; fault-interrupting, primary, 8,000 amperes; fault-interrupting, secondary, 4,000 amperes; interrupting time, 5-6 cycles; weatherproof, dustproof enclosure with 120 VAC space heater; eight SPDT auxiliary contacts coupled to the motor; non-reset electrical operations counter; open/close pushbuttons, externally operable; high speed switch operator, 48 VDC; 5-year warranty; factory sealed, maintenance free SF6 interrupters. Options include: shunt-trip device, extra-performance closing contacts, and extra auxiliary switch, 8PST, in operator. Circuit switcher must be rated for 10 MVA mobil capacitor bank switching and mounting on a flatbed semi-trailer. Delivery by January 14, 1996, FOB Destination to Loveland, CO. Suppliers of identical or equivalent items must submit written data to demonstrate their ability to satisfy this requirement. Such data must include as a minimum, a complete list of items, complete specs to identify item, capabilities in sufficient detail to permit technical evaluation, pricing data, point of contact, and business size.
