The Defense Logistics Agency intends to place an order with the AccuSort for hardware, software and documentation needed to upgrade the current AccuSort system at the Defense Depot, Norfolk, VA. The following items are required; 1 ea Compaq Pentium computer; 1 ea MNTRO-s Compaq color monitor; 1 ea MDMO! 9600 baud modem with cable; 1 ea SFTWR01 R2 Host software on 3.5 inch disk; 1 ea A/S-2G Asynch/bisysnc convertere; 1 ea host 4/422/Bias hostess 4 (232/422); 4 ea PB32 DEC PB 32 Board; 1 ea PC004 parllel I/O board; 1 ea PC004F I/O board cable kit; 1 ea PC004P Nema cable kit; 1 ea PCNEMA01 Nema cabinet w/AC; 1ea RH12AJ/12 tachometer; and 30 ea QuadI/O quad optic modules. All the items have to be preprogrammed to control all AccuSort gear. The contractor must provide all identified components. Interested parties is having the capability to furnish the above described products should submit their product and price information. All responses must contain sufficient technical and pricing information to enable evaluation of the capability for the products to meet the requirements of the Agency; and the cost of the items by individual items. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists and no award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. No telephone inquiries/responses will be accepted. Interested parties should respond in writing to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Terri L. Hilton, at the DLA Administrative Support Center, Office of Contracting ATTN: DASC-CPM, 8725 John J. Kingman Road., Suite 0119, Ft. Belvoir, VA 22060-6220 within 15 days of the publication of this synopsis. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. (250)
