The U.S.Postal Service is seeking sources for a printer to support testing of the Advanced Hybrid Mailing Service (AHMS) program. This is a revision of the printer requirements published 09/01/95. The important functional characteristics of the printer should be 1) Provide Highlight color, 2) Support Intelligent Printer Data Stream (IPDS), 3) Support Advanced Function Image and Graphics (AFIG), 4) Must Provide an LMO solution, 5) Duplex Print, 6) Printer Attachment via Ethernet using TCP/IP, and 7) Speed 90 Images Per Minute minimum.
