COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 11,1995 PSA#1428Defense Nuclear Agency, 6801 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22310-
3398 A -- NUCLEAR EFFECTS DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM SOL
DNA001-95-R-0063 POC David Nemerow, Negotiator, (703) 325-6627, Daniel
R. Gonzales, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-6684. The Defense Nuclear
Agency (DNA) has a need for access to and manipulation of test data,
comparison of this data with analytic techniques and models, as well as
development of improved techniques. This effort bridges the data
archival and retrieval aspects of DARE (Data Archiving and Retrieval
Enhancements), and the needs of modeling and simulation efforts by
providing analytical fits and comparisons to test data. To understand
this data as well as models involving it and based upon it, the data
has to be viewed in the context of the environment in which it was
gathered. The contractor will be required to provide a single,
integrated data management system that combines test data,
environmental aspects of that data, models representing the data in a
DARE compatible form. This effort shall provide all information about
atmospheric test data that researchers need to understand the data in
its context, such as geology, atmospheric conditions, gauge type and
developer, gauge characteristics, implantation locations, relevant
photographs and test results and calibrations. FAST TRACK procedures
are to be used. Written response only, should be made to DNA/POC and
may be telecopied (703) 325-9294. Sol to be issued o/a 30 days after
CBD announcement. POC is David Nemerow, (703) 325-6627. Information on
DNA solicitations, already released, can be obtained by calling the
DNA Hotline at (703) 325-1173. Reference Synopsis No. 95-87 (0250) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0002 19950908\A-0002.SOL)
