KACZMAREK, (215)697-9666 The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire non-personal Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) by qualified contractor personnel for the purpose of informing, instructing and training Department of the Navy personnel in the installation, operation, and maintenance on the following Navy and Marine Corps weapons, equipment and systems: HTS (AN/USM-484), MVAS (AN/USM-470(V)1), RADC/RADCOM (AN/USM-467), TMV (AN/USM-470(V)2) and (AN/USM-484) and VAST (AN/USM-247(V)). The proposed procurement consists of ten (10) tasks. The proposed procurement will have a base period of performance of 1 JUL 96 through 30 JUN 97 with one (1) option period from 1 JUL 97 through 30 JUN 98. This effort will be covered by a new contract and/or modification to an existing contract. This period covers the Government's minimum needs. The proposed procurement will contain specifications for Contractor Field Service Representatives as appropriate. The proposed procurement is a sole source acquisition with Harris Technical Services Corporation of Norfolk, VA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Harris Technical Services Corporation is the only known provider of these services at this time. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
