R -- INTERPRETING SERVICES SOL RFQ-95-127 DUE 092295 POC Point of Contact, Al Schneider, 304/480-6453, Contracting Officer, Tammie Johnson, 304/480-6461 The Bureau of Public Debt intends to procure interpreter services in the Washington, DC area. The majority of the Contractor's time will be spent interpreting the spoken word into sign language. Interpreter shall possess one of the following certifications: Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Comprehensive Skills Certificate (CSC) or both the Certificate of Interpretation (CI) and the Certificate of Transliteration (TC) or National Association of the Deaf (NAD) state certificate at Level 3 or higher. SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS, these services will begin October 1, 1995. Services will be performed at the following locations and times. 1. Internal Revenue Service at 820 First St., NE, Washington, DC, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. These services are expected to end no later than February 15, 1996; however, they may continue through September 30, 1996. 2. Bureau of Public Debt, 999 E St., NW, Washington, DC on the first Thursday of each month from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. These services are expected to end no later than September 30, 1996. 3. As an optional item, services may be required at Bureau of Public Debt, 999 E St., NW, Washington, DC on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week, excluding Federal holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. These services are expected to end no later than September 30, 1996. The work sites for any of the three services may be changed to a different location within the Metro Washington, DC area. The Contracting Officer's Technical Representative shall provide at least 48 hours notice of any change in the location. The Government reserves the right to discontinue any or all of these services with a thirty day written notice. Offerors are requested to submit the hourly rate for each of these services, a copy of the certificates for proposed employees, and at least ten references, including point of contact, address, telephone number and brief description of the type of service that was provided. Bureau of Public Debt reserves the right to contact any of the refernces that the offeror provides as well as any references known to the Government. Prices shall be evaluated based on extending the number of hours for each line item by the applicable hourly rate and totaling the amounts for each line item.
