This is a supplemental agreement to Contract No. DACA83-93-C-0041, Typhoon OMAR Recovery Projects, Install Shutters, Andersen South (PN 92-4120-0), Install Shutters, Base Facilities (PN 92-1143-0), Repair Medical Facilities (PN 92-1178-0), and Repair Military Housing Warehouse (PN 92-1156-0), Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. A Justification & Approval citing U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements has been approved. The work involves providing labor, material, equipment, shop drawings and revised contract drawings as necessay to install roll-up and/or accordion type typhoon shutters on the newly constructed Child Development Center Addition. Black Construction Corp. (BCC), the proposed sole source contractor, currently has a construction contract with the Corps of Engineers to, among other work, install typhoon shutters throughout the base and family housing area on Andersen AFB, Guam. The new typhoon shutters will be interchangeable with shutters installed on other base facilities. BCC will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with Public Law 95-507.
