The Harris Corporation under Air Force Contract No. F04701-93-C-003. has a requirement for commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) wideband transport equipment to transmit approximately 75 channel in an eight-node-network. Digital and analog systems will be considered. The following features are required of this hardware: 1310 mm operating wave-length; multiplex 10 Hz to 10 MHz analog (1 Vp-p) signals (telemetry, unformatted video, PCM, sensor) onto singlemode fiber; 16 channel capacity; hot-swappable modules; redundant power supplies; support a ring topology with insert/drop/pass capability without converting passed signals to baseband while inserting signals at the same node or while passing signals through intermediate nodes; primary and secondary paths with automatic switchover; remotely accessible status alarms; and controllable by a remote network manager. All interested firms should submit product literature to the address as shown above giving performance parameters and verification that COTS equipment satisfies the required features within fifteen days after publication of this notice.
