This is a device which produces a radiofrequency output which is transmitted to the tip of a specialized needle. The tip of the needle heats the surrounding tissue it comes in contact with, in a econtrolled fashion. The principle use of this device is to destroy nerves in the treatment of chronic pain. In particular, the device is used to produce destruction of the facet nerves in the lumbar and cervical spine which are sometimes responsible for producing back pain. All essential characteristics will be outlined in the solicitation.
