ACDS is a Navy shipboard Command, Control and Communications system intended for deployment in surface combatants, airborne command and control platforms, expeditionary command and control shelter, and various shore sites. The Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center (NCCOSC), Research and Development, Test and Evaluation Division (NCCOSC RDTE DIV) is responsible for the development, test, delivery, maintenance, and integration of ACDS, including its computer programs and hardware. NCCOSC RDTE DIV requires contractor expertise to supplement its own capabilities to support this program. Within the scope of this requirement, this support includes requirements analysis; system level hardware and software design; system level hardware and software architecture studies; operating system software and tactical data system applications software development; operating system software and tactical data system applications software reengineering/rehosting; system level hardware and software integration; support software and hardware development; system interface tools development; test and evaluation; system delivery support; and corrective maintenance of operating system and tactical data system application software. ACDS programs and ancillary programs used in support of ACDS operational programs include: tactical, test, support, simulation, interfacing, and training computer programs.
