R -- SITE INTEGRATION SUPPORT, COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS SUPPORT, AND SUPPORT FOR OTHER 50 SPACE WING ACTIVITIES AT FALCON AFB. SOL FA2550-95-R-0006. Due 112995. Contact Robert J. The 50th Space Wing (AFSPC) intends to issue a Request for proposal (RFP) for reacquisition of the Site Integration and Support Contract (SIASC) at Falcon Air Force Base (FAFB). The SIASC is designed to provide site integration, communication systems support, and support for other 50 Space Wing activities at FAFB. Site Integration is the discipline of enforcing adherence to facility installation standards, ensuring projects and installations are properly coordinated with appropriate agencies, timetables, and activities and maintaining a fully documented baseline for the purpose of protecting operational and support systems for all designated areas. The focus of site integration is on the Communication-Computer System support facilities. The major parts of the process are engineering support and evaluation, installation support, Installation and Modification Approval Request (I/MAR) verification, baseline documentation update, cable management, power management, I/MAR administration, scheduling, Modification Control Board (MCB) support, configuration change design assistance, site preparation design, site preparation, technical surveillance, document review and updating, and bow-wave. Communication systems support includes support for the Local Area Networks (LANs) at FAFB, modification control and engineering and technical support, hardware and software maintenance, and database application support. Support for other 50 Space Wing Activities at FAFB includes Maintenance Operation Center (MOC), Project Integration, Safety, Security, and support for the falcon Technical Library (FTL). It is contemplated that this effort will be for one basic year with four one-year priced options. The period of performance will begin on 1 Oct 96. The contract type is expected to be cost-plus-award-fee, and the acquisition will be unrestricted (full and open competition). The RFP is scheduled for release around 29 Sep 95.
