The principal components of work include the following: a. Remove walls; b. Install walls; c. Furnish and install raised floor system; d. Furnish and install suspended ceiling system; e. Furnish and install acoustical wall coverings; f. Furnish and install kitchen cabinets and appliances; g. Furnish and install carpet and tile; h. Furnish and install lighting system; i. Design, furnish and install preaction fire protection system; j. Remove Halon system; k. Remove two glycol air conditioning systems; l. Paint, tile, and wallpaper walls; m. Modify existing HVAC system; n. Modify existing electrical system; and o. Remove floor tile and asbestos mastic. The work is situated in Codington County, approximately three miles east and one-half mile south of Watertown, South Dakota. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The period of performance is 150 days. The solicitation will be issued, subject to the availability of funds, on or about September 4, 1995. The projected bid opening date is on or about October 5, 1995. The solicitation is restricted to small businesses (see numbered Note 1). The solicitation will be issued on double-sided, high-density DOS-formatted 3.5-inch floppy diskettes. The IFB and specifications are formatted using WordPerfect 5.1.
