With financing supplied by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Stanley Consultants, Inc., acting on behalf of and as agent for the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage (NOPWASD), Ministry of Housing and Utilities, 1 Ismail Abaza, Cairo, Egypt, A.R.E., invites bids from U.S. firms, joint ventures of such firms, or individuals to supply Truck Mounted Catch Basin Cleaning Machines, Truck Mounted Cranes, Truck Mounted High-Pressure Jet Sewer Cleaners, Backhoes-Loaders, Mobile Air Compressors and Equipment, Trailer Mounted Jet Cleaning Equipment, 5-Ton Pneumatic-Tired Lift Trucks, Sewer Jet Cleaning Easement Machines, Mobile Sewer Cleaning Machines, Sludge Removal Dump Trucks, Wheel Loaders, Portable Asphalt/Concrete Saws and Utility Trailers, Chlorine Cylinder Trucks and Mobile Workshop Trucks. All items must meet USAID requirements for U.S. (USAID Geographic Code 000) source, origin, nationality, and componentry. A Fixed-Price Host Country Contract with NOPWASD is anticipated. Payment will be made in U.S. Dollars by USAID/Egypt through a Direct Letter of Commitment under USAID Grant No. 263-0161-03. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) including specifications and additional information is available upon written request (telephone requests are not accepted) by U.S. mail only from Stanley Consultants, Inc., 225 Iowa Avenue, Muscatine, Iowa 52761. The IFB is expected to be released 15 days after publication of this notice. Bidders will be given 45 days from the date of issuance of the IFB to prepare and submit bids. Bids will only be accepted at the address of Stanley Consultants, Inc., shown above. Late submissions will not be considered. Award will be made by the Chairman of NOPWASD. The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and USAID encourage and welcome in this activity the participation, to the fullest extent possible, of minorities and women both as individuals and as members of contracting or sub-contracting firms.
