This is a notice of intent for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, MD to negotiate with Mnemonics, Inc. on an other than full and open competitive basis for the purchase of Spare Parts for the Patrol Coastal Ship Alteration (PC SHPALT) Program. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain parts to support the AN/PSR-4 (BR-700/UD-700) Portable Satellite Broadcast Receive Terminals/UHF Receive Subsystems (PSBRT) and Portable Satellite Broadcast Receive Terminal - expansion chassis (PSBRT/EXP) that were installed during PC ship alteration upgrades. The following Mnemonics, Inc. equipment are the 90 day operational spare parts required to support the PC SHIPALT Program; thirteen (13) each of the following: E/M Power Supply (P/N 980-1125-001), Fan Assembly, 3.15'' (P/N 927-1011-001), Filter, EMI, AC Power (P/N 223-1014-001), Power Supply, 5V, 5A (P/N 612-5004-001), and Filter, EMI, AC Power (P/N 223-0002-001). To ensure communication interoperability and to maintain configuration control with existing systems, it is vital to NAVSPECWAR that the parts by physically, functionally, and electronically compatible with the AN/PSR-4 (BR-700/UD-700) in order to maintain critical communications links. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Mnemonics, Inc. because they are the only vendor currently building this equipment, and they retain the technical data package.
