Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Detachment-Washington, has
been requested to procure a (1) PC Based Computer System Server; Full
integration and test of software with minimum of 48 hours burn-in and
post delivery technical support and Hot Line capability; (1) RAIID-5
controller with at least 4 Mbytes of read/write cache and at least a
65-Bit bus between system memory and controller; (1) 32-Bit Network
Interface Card, 10BaseT and RJ-45 connection; (5) At a minimum 2x Fast
SCSI-2 controller for all devices other than hard drives; (1) At a
minimum 2x Fast SCSI-2 CD-ROM drive; (1) 4-mm DAT tape drive, at a
minimum 4-Gbyte capacity-Fast SCSI-2 comp; (1) At a minimum 17'' NI
1024x768.28 pitch monitor; (5) One Gbyte hard drive compatible with
RAIID controller Drives must be ''hot swappale''; (1) Intelligent
Multiport Serial Expansion EISA 32bit board with 16 DB-25 ports, max
throughput (per Port) 115 kbps, clock frequency 20 MHz, 512KB RAM
installed on board, IDT 3051 RISC Microprocessor; and (8) 28.8 BPS
External FAZ/Modem. The PC Base Computer System Server must include:
Single 90 or 100Mhz Pentium or 150 Mhz RISC CPU; System will be
parallel processor ready: will accept one or more CPUs mounted on
''daughter'' boards with at least 256 KBytes or Cache RAM for each
processor; at least 32 mbytes edc memory and system is easily
upgradable to at least a total of 256 MBytes of memory; at least 32 Bit
bust through-out system; at least 400 watt power supply with sufficient
power connectors for all internal drive bays; 3.5'' hd and 5.25'' hd
floppy disk drives; 2 serial (UART 16550 compliant) and one parallel
ports; graphics accelerator with 2 Mbytes Video RAM; at least 3 empty
half-height device bays and 4 empty card slots after system is full
configured. System will have no 16-Bit slots. Delivery will be made to
the Naval Medical Information Management Center, Bethesda, MD. A firm
