C -- LIFE SAFETY DEFICIENCIES Sol. RFP 574-58-95. Due 101595. Contact Bonnie Obermier, 308/389-5117, Contracting Officer, Grand Island, NE. A/E services for project 574-58-95, Life safety Deficiencies, shall include, but not limited to site survey, design development, construction documents and construction period services. The contract may be awarded separately for Design Development and Construction Documents. A/E will be expected to survey Building #1m the main hospital at the VA Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska, for Life Safety Deficiencies such as remove existing stairwell doors that do not meet fire safety requirements. Laundry chutes will need to be replaced. Also, correct deficiencies cited for access panels to vertical chases as indicated by NFPA, and design corrective measures according to all federal, VA, state and local codes, in particular, NFPA. Firms applying for this work will be evaluated on expertise in the area of life safety design. Area of consideration is 400 mile radius from the VAMC. Estimated construction range is $100,000 to $250,000. A/E firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit Standard Form 254 and 255 for this project no later than October 15, 1995.
