USAE Waterways Experiment Station (WES) intends to place an order with
Novell Inc. for their comprehensive Premium Service Core Program to
support and maintain WES' Electronic Information Exchange Platform
consisting of Novell's Groupware Products, Network Operating System
Products, and Novell Desktop Products. Characteristics of Required
Support for the Electronic Information Exchange: 1. Seven days a week,
24 hours a day, reachable by 800 number. 2. Comprehensive support of
Novell's Groupware Products, Network Operating System Products, and
Novell Desktop Products to include but not limited to: a. Novell
Groupwise: Installation, clients, administration, and gateways for
UNIX, DOS/WINDOWS and OS/2. b. Novell Netware 3.11 and Netware 4.1:
Installation and administration for server installation, other LAN OS's
(i.e. Windows NT and BANYAN). c. PerfectOffice: Installation,
utilization, administration for server installation, integration with
Groupwise. d. WordPerfect Wordprocessor 5.1, 5.2, 6.0 and 6.1:
installation, utilization, and interaction with groupwise. 3. Must
provide direct phone access to Novell Technical Support Personnel, with
trouble ticket escalation to software developers as required. Software
Developers must be available to Novell Technical support personnel and
directly to the government. 4. Unlimited number of phone calls. 5. A
minimum of six POC's. 6. An account representative to manage open calls
and report on their status monthly. 7. Must be able to have a Novell
on-site support engineer come to our site, available as required for an
additional fee. 8. Must include subscription to Novell Support
Encyclopedia Professional. Since Novell, Inc. is the developer of these
proprietary software products, they are the only source capable of
providing the comprehensive technical expertise required to maintain
the aforementioned Novell products. A direct pipeline to the highest
level of technical support is essential in maintaining WES' Electronic
Mail-Enabled Format and Document Routing in a Heterogeneous Computing
Environment project. Only Novell, Inc. offers a full spectrum service
encompassing administration, installation, client support, an
interaction of these in a LAN environment. Any inquiries must be
