The Federal Prison Camp, Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, AL is soliciting offers for a Jewish Rabbi to provide religious/spiritual services to the Jewish inmate congregation. Session length for provision of services is two (2) hours, and it is anticipated that one (1) session per week will be utilized, if available funding permits. The initial contract period is from date of award through September 30, 1996, with four successive 12-month option renewal periods, running from October 1 through September 30 of the respective years. Successful contractor shall be a graduate of a Jewish University; shall have knowledge of the Hebrew language; and have extensive experience in the practice of Judaism. Contractual duties will include instructing the fundamentals of the Jewish faith. For more specific information detailing the responsibilities of this contractual position, refer to Section C of the solicitation package. The required schedule for performance of services is Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Detailed security investigative procedures will be required as outlined in Section H of the solicitation package and will include, but not be limited to, a urinalysis, fingerprinting, NCIC check, and five-year verification of employers and law enforcement agencies.
