Z -- ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AT THE NEW YORK NY - CHURCH STREET (90 CHURCH STREET) Sol. RFP #415046-95-A-0718. Due 100295. Scope of work: Provide all necessary labor, material, equipment and services for asbestos-containing abatement for the construction and renovation of USPS' mail processing facility and federal office building at 90 Church Street, New York, New York, USPS and other federal agencies currently occupy the building. The USPS intends to upgrade and prepare the building to allow the leasing of a portion of it to new office tenant(s). A General Contractor still perform the following: (1) demolition, renovation, construction, and/or replacement of base building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and vertical transportation systems and related structural work to support an approximately 707,000 square foot building; (2) restoration of an approximately 6,500 square foot historic ground floor lobby; and (3) demolition of existing office finishes and replacement of core elements in preparation for a new approximately 96,000 square foot office tenant installation (installation to be performed by others). All work will be performed in a fully occupied operational mail processing facility and office building. The successful offeror will work concurrent with the Base Building General Contractor. Project Milestones have been set and are explained in the Solicitation. Work shall comply with all applicable state, federal and city requirements and USPO policies as indicated by the Project Technical Specifications. A pre-proposal conference will be held at 90 Church Street at 9:00 am Monday, September 25, 1995. All offerors are strongly encouraged to attend. The estimated price range is between $850,000 and $1,250,000 with completion within 200 calendar days. Solicitation package will be available on or about September 18, 1995, at $45.00 per set. The number of offers received, the identity of offerors the amount of any offer or relative standing of the offers will not be disclosed until time of contract award. In responding please submit evidence of competency requirements and contractors qualifications, including all required certification for asbestos abatement, requested in the solicitation. This includes evidence of the successful completion of 5 projects similar in dollar value and performed within the past two years.
