The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons will be soliciting bids for the renovation and expansion of the front entrance of the Federal Correctional Institution, Danbury CT. The project is to include renovation of the existing Main Entrance area, Visitors area, Receiving and Discharge area and the Control Center. Also included is an addition to the existing building, a new Main Entrance area, including, without limitation, new structural, mechanical and electrical items, new partitions, doors, windows, frames and finishes. Sitework shall include, without limitation, stripping and stockpiling of topsoil, mass excavation for addition and driveway construction, storm drainage and underdrains, new sidewalk and handicap ramp, bituminous driveway, pavement markings, topsoil and grass. An Add/Alternate for the supply and installation of Air Conditioning to the entire Administration building is also included. The estimated cost range of this project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 dollars. The action will be 100% set-aside for small business. The SIC Code is 1542. Solicitations will be available on October 02, 1995. The deadline for receipt of bids is November 15, 1995, at 1:00 p.m. All requests for the solicitation shall be in writing and be accompanied by a non-refundable fee in the form of a check or money order for the amount of $75.00 and be made payable to Stecker, LaBau, Arneill and McMAnus Architects Inc.
