This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract with Hewlett-Packard Company, Rockville MD, for the purchase of Twenty Five (25) each Oscilloscopes, model HP-54160A, option 105 with HP-54657A measurement/storage modules. Oscilloscopes consists of four channel, 100 MHz capability and has digital features which include pretrigger viewing, waveform storage, measurement automation, waveform math, autostore, peak detect and averaging. The module allows for automatic measurements, automatic waveform math calculations, more trace storage locations with 64K of memory and frequency information for the input waveforms's Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) -- FOB Destination: USAF Academy CO -- This acquisition is approved for a sole source contract action as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 -- No solicitation package will be issued -- However, all interested sources may identify their product by submitting pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered and make and model numbers of the equipment -- Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement -- Award will not be made on the basis of responses received to this synopsis -- If no favorable responses are received by close of business 45 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source -- See Numbered Note 22.
