Officer, at (404) 347-3178. Request for proposals for the continued
operation of the Gainesville Job Corps Center located in Gainsville,
Florida will be available approximately September 29, 1995, for issue
in response to written request. It is anticipated that the resultant
contract will cover the period April 1, 1996 through March 31, 1998,
plus 3 governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The
approximate average capacity strength is 350 students (195 residential
males, 120 residential females, and 35 non-residential students of
which 10 are males and 25 females). Contractor will provide direct
outreach/screening/placement services for a total of 250 students. Ten
percent of center capacity is set aside for students with limited
disabilities which are limited mobility, limited hearing and limited
sight. A Pre-Proposal Conference for the Job Corps Center will be
convened at Gainesville Job Corps Center Administration Building for
registration. The contractor shall provide Academic and Vocational
Training, operate a Counseling and Residential Living Program, and
operate the following support services: Health Services, Processing of
Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and
Legal Services. The contractor will also provide overall Center
Management and Administration as follows: Contract and Personnel
Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and
Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenance, Security and
Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information. All
questions prior to the Pre-Proposal Conference should be submitted in
writing. Requests for this solicitation should include (2)
self-addressed mailing labels. Proposals in response to this RFP will
be due no later than 2:00 p.m., local time on November 27, 1995 at the
address listed above. Alaucha County is not classified as a labor
