Z -- REPLACE HVAC SYSTEM IN FIVE BUILDINGS AT THE ROSWELL JOB CORPS CENTER. Sol IFB-95-DAA-59-JC due 110295. This project consists of the replacement of the HVAC systems and controls in five Buildings at the Roswell Job Corps Center located in Roswell, New Mexico. The work involves the removal of existing corridor ceilings, lighting, fintube heating/piping, ductwork, evaporative coolers, boilers, piping, insulation, other related miscellaneous work, and asbestos abatement. The work also requires the installation of new ceiling, with the reinstallation of lighting, boilers, cooling towers, heatpumps, make-up air units, ductwork, piping, power controls, insulation and other related finishes. The period of performance for construction is 330 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed through completion of the project. The estimated cost range of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Initial Plans and Specifications will be available on October 2, 1995, only from the Architect/Engineer firm of Beryl Durham and Associates, 574 Canal Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico 88220. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications should be directed the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Plans and specifications will be made available for pick up at the A/E's office and also for delivery at an additional charge. Requests must be in writing and will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until the initial supply is exhausted. For requests made after the initial supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents (to be determined by the Contracting Officer), plus a shipping charge based on each individual request (if applicable), will be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. Pre-Bid Walk-Thru is scheduled for October 19, 1995, at 10:00 a.m. (local) at the Center. This will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids. Bid-Opening is scheduled for November 2, 1995, at 2:00 p.m. (local) at the A/E's office. (Note: This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside Acquisition.
