The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a solicitation for the delivery and installation of one (1) Noncontact Video Based Coordinate Measuring Machine with programmable automatic and manual capabilities. The machine furnished shall be capable of both contact and video based noncontact measuring. The machine shall be capable of being used for both quantitative and qualitative analysis in the following areas: (1) assembly and production; (2) in-process inspection; (3) quality control; (4) automated production; (5) receiving inspection; (6) training, material and process review. The Measuring Machine will be used to perform quality inspections on delivered machine replacement parts. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract. All interested businesses are required to submit a written request for a copy of this solicitation within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of this announcement. Written requests should include the company's size status (i.e., Large, Small, Minority, or Women-Owned). Telephone requests will not be honored.
