70 -- SPACE STATION WORKSTATION PROCUREMENT SOL 9BI201514P POC CARRIE ASH, Tel:713-483-4151 Contracting Officer:CARRIE ASH, Tel:713-483-4151 NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract for 600 workstations to support the Space Station Program. JSC will request proposals in 3 scenarios: (A) 600 PC's, (B) 600 Macintoshes, and (C) 475 PC's and 125 Macintoshes. JSC will perform a best value analysis to determine which scenario best fits the Program requirements. The anticipated contract will include delivery of state of the art hardware, integration of a standard software load (provided by JSC as Government Furnished Property), and installation including set-up and local configuration of the workstation onsite at JSC. The contract will incorporate a severe penalty clause for delivery of dead on arrival workstations, failures within the 1st 30 days, and failure to meet the Space Station Program deadline of completion of set-up and configuration no later than December 15, 1995. The Government anticipates Request for Proposal (RFP) release on or about October 2, 1995. Proposals will be due within 30 calendar days of RFP release. Award is anticipated one week after proposal receipt. All hardware delivery, installation, and set-up and configuration must be completed by December 15, 1995.
