C -- PROVIDE DESIGN AND SURVEY SERVICES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO CORRECT LIFE SAFETY DEFICIENCIES AT FCI - MCKEAN, PA POC R. A. Young, Contracting Officer, (215) 597-6317, ext. 141. Professional Architect-Engineer services are required for the implementation of the Life Safety Plan of action provided by separate contract. This will require revisions and additions to the existing sprinkler and fire alarm systems as well as plans for the correction of egress and fire separation building components. The design portion of this project is to provide for the bid documents to correct the deficiencies listed in the report. Construction Administration services are also required for this project. This work is to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, McKean, PA. The estimated performance period of the resultant contract is 495 calendar days . The estimated construction cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The evaluation criteria for selection and contract award, in descending order of relative importance, are as follows: (1) Proposed project team and organization; (2) Comparable experience and performance/ (3) Capability and capacity; (4) Past performance on contracts for government agencies and/or private industry projects; (5) Knowledge of locality; and, (6) Proximity to project. Only those firms residing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and have the capability to perform the services described herein, are requested to submit appropriate data within 30 calendar days from the initial publication date of this announcement. Applicant responses to the aforementioned evaluation criteria shall use Standard Forms 254 and 255, which will form the basis of the initial evaluation of qualifications. The data submitted shall be concise and must address all specific categories listed in the evaluation criteria. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 8712, with a size standard of $2,500,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract will result from this acquisition. This is not a request for proposal.
