F -- HAND TREE THINNING SOL IFB R1-10-96-2 POC Contact Contracting, Barb Venturini/Nola Rice, 406/758-5318, 406/758-5310 The Flathead National Forest will be advertising an Invitation for Bids for seven bid items totaling approximately 1,800 acres for Hand Tree Thinning on the Tally Lake Ranger District, Flathead County, Montana. This is not a notice of the availability of a solicitation but rather a notification to visit the project areas prior to the winter season since these areas will be inaccessible during the advertising period. Final acreage will be determined prior to issuance of the solicitation early next spring. No formal site tour is planned. Preliminary maps with general locations of the project areas are available from the Flathead NF. (0257)
